Bringing My Art into Reality
"Seven Deadly Sins"
An experience that I revisit to see my developmental skills, I have redone the Seven Deadly Sins. Incorporating planetary distinction to each sin, creating galactic species with human features. No matter how distorted they become, there is personification. Each mask can stand alone, but together they are a conversation.

"Plant Mother Series"
An ongoing experience, creating Plant Mothers to create an essence of a flower pot being a mother, holding the "womb" for the living plant to grow. Functional and Sculpture put in one, and providing an essence of life to something that is considered an everyday use.
There will be an installation of all the Plant Mother Spirits one day.

"Entwined by Sea and Sky"
5 Platters, functional and well executed. Looking at their design, I wanted to create a scene that represented two things coming together. Experimenting with smooth white glaze and a form of blue glaze, I created four colors that merge together. The scene that came to mind was when the sky and sea meet, and only clouds can divide the two.

"Sable Mix-Up Cups"
Part of a glazing series, these are the "Sable Mix-up" cups. Using four distinct glazes, to create texture, color, and variation on black glaze, allowed for a series dedicated to the different colors that can lay on black aka "Sable" another form of black or dark brown.
Each cup is almost exactly the same, the glazing is what makes each piece different. Using them in a staking manner, puts them in a sculptural setting, allowing these cups to be more than functional.

"Ocean's Breath"
A different technique, I used slaps to form over a odd-shaped mold that resembled to me a unique-styled "Noodle Bowl". Of course, to the unknown eye, these can be used for any and everything. But despite having a noodle purpose, I also seeked a connection with nature. With that, I developed a similar glazing experiment that resulted in the illusion of "Ocean's Breath". The piece looks like different waters meeting, and within in that is a breath that exposes the ocean's lungs. This piece can be a functional piece of work, or stand on its own on a pedestal.

"Interstellar Falls"
Experimenting with glazes, is my pleasure. Being able to create vessels that have unique shape and add glazing that enhances the piece of work is what I strive for. Interstellar Falls, is like a galaxy melting down the surface of the body of clay. Or even representing some etheric forcefield. My work tends to have an otherworldly feel to them, even for functional pieces.

"Interstellar Moss"
Carved texture, hidden browns, vibrant greens, and a conglomeration of varying blues on the inside, this is the "Interstellar Moss". A bowl that holds deep meaning, and requires more than just a glance. Resembling moss, but with an out of space, surrounded by stars and galaxies mixed together. Its more than just a bowl, it must be used with purpose.

Turquoise Horizons
Exactly what it is titled. Unique bowls, situated in a sculptural form, representing a horizon gilded with turquoise. Using only two glazes, creating a simplistic, yet appealing combination that shows a sculptural form, that can be separated into functional pieces. A print, perfect for the wall. A diverse piece of work, that brings tranquility.

"Beginning Chaos"
It is the beginning...
Using materials outside of clay, I experimented with wax, a sponge, and wood. Being in the sculpture studio, opened doors for me. This was a space full of unfamiliar materials. With that, Chaos as born. Using these materials, melting the wax on an ice-cube base for texture, and balancing the heavy wax (which is angled) on a rectangular wooden pole that free-stands, was a challenge that I successfully executed. This is literally just the beginning. "Welcome to Chaos" will make its appearance.

"The Wooden Pedestal"
A sculpture made out of plaster and cut wood (by me), I was able to take these two different materials and entwine them to make a perfect balance. The first student to use the wood as a pedestal or a base for the plaster structure, shows my creative mind. Being able to pour plaster into a box with , that create a 3D dimensional object and then individually cut pieces of wood to fit in the structure, shows my 3-dimensional mind and execution.
